MEMORANDUM TO ALL STATE ACTIVITIES

 

SUBJECT:  AD SOLICITATION FOR CONVENTION PROGRAM BOOKLET

 

Worthy State Officers, District Deputies, Grand Knights, Sir Knights, Program Chairs,

and Ladies Auxiliaries:

 

This year's convention will be held at the Beau Rivage Resort and Casino on the beautiful Mississippi Gulf Coast in Biloxi. Although Hurricane Katrina has challenged these plans, the Knights of Columbus, Biloxi Council 1244 are determined to hold the convention here in the midst of reconstruction and have accepted the challenge to host the convention regardless of the limited-availability of facilities on the coast.? The Knights in Biloxi are more than qualified to plan for this convention.  We know the event will go on and will meet the highest of everyone's expectations and match the traditional Gulf Coast welcome we are so well known for.

 

Each year the host council for the convention depends heavily on income derived from convention booklet ads. This year's convention committee's mission is to provide as many amenities to our delegates and registrants as our budget will allow.  Please keep in mind your registration fees are committed to the cost of banquet meals.  Outside income is necessary to defray costs of related convention expenses.

 

Biloxi's 2007 Convention Committee requests each activity in the Mississippi Jurisdiction to purchase a full page ad for this year's convention booklet.  The attached order form provides the details of the size and cost of each ad.  I ask all of you to order your ads as soon as possible so the convention committee can plan their operating budget. To order, click here.

 

As the Biloxi Council 1244's Grand Knight, I have ask Brothers Greg Crapo and Harry Steinwinder to Co-Chair as the Convention Ad Chairmen for this year's convention book.  So, mail your ad order form, art work, and check to them as soon as possible.
